You doctor did a test at 5 dpo? Why would you waste money on that? And why would your doctor agree to that? There is no reason for that. Shame on you for abusing the healthcare system like that.

Are you kidding me? Fellow women come to this board trying to possibly gain info based on research AND other people's experiences. What right do you have to question someone? If she wanted to pay for a test, who cares? What do mean, abusing the health care system? For pity's sake. That's what it's there for, and you are assuming that the doctor is wrong? I'm sure they know a lot more than you do! What the heck happened to you that made you so bitter and cynical? Grow up, get a life, and stop trying to make yourself feel better by criticizing someone else's choices on whether they test at 5 dpo or not.

Why don't you keep your rude, uneducated replies to yourself? You are either naturally a "beast" OR you're just hormonal. I'm hoping for hormonal.

I don't know what crawled up some of your a$$e$. I am talking to whomever has been being so rude to others on the message board, but whatever it is it's completely uncalled for. Even if 2-14 days isn't the average of when women usually get pregnant or if that is completely false information. I kind of like ready it gives me a little extra hope this month. I do believe it is possible, most likely not the norm but possible. If you don't agree with the statement made there is a polite way of responding, 'I don't think that is correct I heard it is normally between 6-12 days after ovulation'. Enough said!

All I know is I am ttc and it is a stressful process when it takes you months and months to conceive. All the waiting, hoping, and the worst part is the failing. We want to fill all that waiting time with something so we search the web. Hoping it will tell us what we want to hear. I had a tinge of blood yesterday, which was 5 dpo. I personally have mainly only read that implantation occurs between 6-12 dpo. I did a search though I just want a little bit of hope this month that it is possible. That possibitily makes all the stress of trying a little easier on me.

Now you have some issues. You really need some help. Most people in this world get a real high on being nice to people. I really think you should try it. You would be suprised to see how great it would make you feel.

Okay, this could be a bit long... but here it goes. I am 23 and have 2 children (son will be 4 in Dec and Daughter 3 in April)

I took 3 days of the Errin pill -progestin only- august 18th-20th and got my period the 22nd of August to the 26th. I was recently diagnosed with a 1.6 cm fibroid in my cervix, that's what the Errin pill was for. Anyways, I quit the pills due to a bad reaction to them (leg cramps, panic attack to name a few.) *Since July I have lost about 15lbs (from 135 to about 120ish, maybe less now)* I had my last period from Sept 24th to Sept 29th.

I went to stay with a friend of mine for a few weeks and was staying with her from the 1st to the 19th of October and her cycles are messed up due to an IUD (usually I am always around my sis so maybe this threw my cycle off.) but anyways.. I ended up having protected sex twice with a mutual friend of ours (it's been 2 years since I have had sex also) on the 13th. (also I am not on any birth control, this was a moment of weakness for me)

I ended up having spotting from the 21st til the 23rd of October (pink, red, brown respectively). My period was supoosed to be due on the 26th/27th but I am late.. It's the 4th of November now. I have taken 2 first response pregnacy tests (on the 30th and the 1st) and both were negative. I also has some really horrid cramping on the 2nd, but I have experinced this before. It was on my right side like it was around the time I found out I had the fibroid... the exact same cramping I had on one of my many trips to the ER in August which is how I found out about the fibriod.

So.. after all this is was that implatation spotting or just my period trying to adjust to all the changes and stress I have been through lately? And was it possibly too early to test? I have been assured the condoms didn't break.

ANY HELP WOULD BE SUPER WONDERFUL!

Could it be ovulation pain?
I have it... It occurs about 15-18 days after my period (I have a 30 day cycle).

Considering your clinic history I would check with the doctor's just in case.

Good luck!

I'm sorry but last year in early march I got pregnant and the egg/embryo had attached within 3 days so I'm sorry bust someones bubble but it IS physically possible for some women to implant quicker than others. i know when I implanted because within 7DPO I had got a faint Positive on a pregnancy test. So I'm sorry but yes it can happen, I also suspect if I wished to do the test again say Monday I would also have another faint positive but I wish to wait till the 1st of september but I will happily come back and let you naysayers know the outcome if you would like.

Buh-bye

Im an obstetric sonographer and according to very reliable texts, fertilization itself only takes 24 hours and it then begins its divisions into multiple cells. The morula enters the uterine cavity 4 days post fertilization. At approximately 6 days post fertilization (yes everyone is different) the blastocyst attaches to the lining of the womb (the endometrium). By day 7 the blastocyst is superficially implanted in the compact layer of the endometrium. Implantation is completed by the end of the second week - 14 days post fertilization. So yes there is things going on INSIDE your uterus from 4 days post ovulation. Hope this helps.

Wow this is a heated discussion group. I have read up for hours and hours and I too and going to school to become an RN. Implantation bleeding does happen to a small amount of women. I hoping I am NOT one of them. I left my ex husband because of abuse right before my now 2 year old was born. I went on the depo shot right after having my daughter. Was on the shot for 2 years. 6 months later no period. I have not had a period sense before my daughter was conceived. No bleeding or discharge of any kind has ever happened. So I went 2 1/2 years without sex I am a very religious person and have been trying to wait until I am remarried hopefully someday. So I have been dating this guy for a couple month we wanted to wait but we had an accident and has unprotected sex. 3 days later I start bleeding- it's light but enough that I needed a pad and it lasted 2 days. I know this may sound crazy.. but has anyone ever heard of sperm or the hormones released during sex activating your system. Could it just be my body was like whoa whats going on?? Nothing has been going on down there nothing has been in there at all was it just to vigorous activity? Sex causing bleeding?? I know that far-fetched. Just wanted to see what other thought. I have a friend who got pregnant off of her first time ever having sex and she swears that she started bleeding 3 days after conception. I never imagined I could be this fertile. I have read horror stories about the depo shot and how many women don't start there period up to 2 years after going off of it. I just thought it was sooo odd that I go from waiting and waiting for my peroid to come then it comes 3 days after sex and it's really light. I thought that if I hadn't had my period in over 3 years that it would prob be rather heavy??? Guess I should go out and get a pregnancy text huh?? no idea how long to wait I have ready it takes up to 19 days after conception for a test to read positive? This seems so soon. I took tests for months after I become pregnant with my daughter and they all read neg even though I was indead prego..I so wish for a normal cycle. All you women out there who get there periods at the same time each month. I feel for you- this has never been me. Good Luck to everyone trying to get Prego..I don't need a baby i'm a single mom but It would be a nice little surprise. Everything happens for a reason right?
