Hi I am male 59 years old and have just experieced a couple of thigh cramps so bad it stoped me swimming in sea the last week.
I still have a ligering ache and stiffness down the front of my thighs.
On reading the posts last night I was trying to find a common thread.
It seems a general agreement that increaseing intake of water, sodium, calcium, etc. has some benifit. I would like to ask anyone who has experienced this type of cramp a simple question . Do you Drink filterd Water? We bought a fridge with a water despeser last year, water tastes great but will be drinking tap water for a few months to see if it helps.

The cold temperature in the sea water can cause cramps if you are not in good physical condition, or if you are tired. Electrolyte imbalance can also cause cramps.
