We never had any psychological conditions in the family before so that is why we were surprised to hear one of the younger cousins has been diagnosed with a delusional disorder. He did have a bit different behavior, but we could not imagine him being diagnosed like that. I would like to know if the autism is always the part of the clinical status for delusional disorder.

Even though there might be some similarities in the symptomatology, those are two different conditions. People that have delusion disorder in some cases might function completely normal and independent and that is not the case with autistic patients. Delusion patients have this idea, delusion that they cling to constantly. That could be the idea of being loved by a celebrity for example.
