The question really isn't if its normal but how much blood was there and did it stop same day or continue? If it was a little then he may have simply scratched you or went too deep or too rough. It its a lot the pleasure and climax could have forced a menstrual cycle to begin. But to plainly answer your original question yes it is normal sometimes to bleed after either foreplay or intercourse. Dont panic.
