I'm a 43 year old female who suffers degenerative disk disease in my lower. I haven't run in over 5 years because of the pain. Of course I've put on a lot of weight, which makes the pain worse. I miss running. Does anyone out there think I can get back into it? I want to…Is this a good idea? Thanks

That is serious injury, so my best advice is to get clearance from a doctor first and then when you start; make sure to respect your pain. Keep it like it normally is, don't push until the pain increases, so when you have the blessing of your doctor, then running would definitely be a good idea.
