It started with a lower back ache, and all day my lower stomach had cramps like I was on my period, plus medium bleeding just like my period. But its not due for 10 days. I just got off a birth control pill so maybe it just screwed up my cycle and it is my period and it came 10 days early, but maybe it could be a urinary track infection?? I need help!

Getting off the birth control can cause a number of issues for some women. You may have pieces of your uterine wall built up inside that have not been able to come out during previous periods. However, there are many reasons for bleeding in the middle of a cycle. You'll need to wait for several weeks to a month to see what happens. Your doctor can't examine yoiu properly when you are slouthing uterine materials or materials that have built up for a period of time. If this continues the general course of action is to have a D&C done. The doctor will have to go up into the uterine area and scrape out any debris that has built up in this area to bring your cycle back to nomal. This is quite common and usually works like a champ. I had this done when I was 28 and I haven't had a problem since.
