I HAVE SEVERE ITCHING ON MY SCROTUM AND PUBIC AREA. THERE ARE NO VISIBLE INFECTIONS OR MARKS JUST ITCHING. MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED SOME CORTI-STERIOD CREAMS SUCH AS A-POR AND STOP ITCH. IT WORKED ONLY UNTIL I SHOWERED AND WASHED IT OFF, THEN THE ITCH STARTED AGAIN. THE DOCTOR THEN PRESCRIBED TREATMENT FOR ECZEMA, NAMELY PERSIVATE OINTMENT AND LATER ELECON OINTMENT, BUT THESE HAVE NO EFFECT.

Have you been shaving your genitals? I often become itchy after I shave. Usually there are small pimple present but not necessarily. Sometimes, when these little white pimples are present I even suspect there is bacterial presence but I just keep it clean for a few days, try not to scratch too much and the infections goes away. Have you tried antibiotics?
I reckon that only a dermatologist could determine what the cause of your itching can be. I always get the right stuff from a dermatologist. How long have you been using this A-POR. It is normal that the itching would reappear after washing the cream, but you have to use it for some time in order to notice any change.
Elecon is also a corticosteroid, so it should work just like A-por. Maybe you could try Nystatin. It works well for over growth of the fungus on the skin.
