Hey, i don´t think its incurable. It might be a fairytale of the pharmacy concerns. Have you tried alkaline diet? Due to my research it should help. I am German and I found a lot of helpful hints on German health pages.
I can´t believe it is incurable cause as far as i know, all a IC is, is a wound and scarred bladder, (sometimes with decreased mucuos skin) and medicine should be that far in 2012 to treat any soreness, also on mucuos skins, no matter where.
I might have the same cause the pain doesn´t go away since 6 weeks, but i try to switch to a alkaline diet: as least sugar as possible, as many green vegies as possible, only alkalizing fruit (the funny thing out of all fruits lemon and limes seem to be the most alkalizing fruits. That means only in your tongue they will be sour, but will be changed into alkaline substance in your body! amazing hey?), of course no alcohol, no energy drinks, no coffee.
What I also do is taking Alkamax (a little teaspoon full solved into water) twice daily.
It also may help to improve your immune system. I´m personally in a catch twenty two situation cause i have to take immunedepressants due to arthritis. So i am lucky to choose between two diseases, harhar. But if you don´t have an autoimmune disease, i strongly advise to build up your immune system.
Do you really bear the pain every day? I can´t cope with it to be honest. I really hope i will be better and healthy as i was 6 weeks ago. I also don´t know what will be with my relationship if the symptoms persist. I developed a sex phobia, and my boyfriend wants sex at least twice a week, if not more often :(
also, have you seen a naturopath before?
