My wife has had blood test which indicate she has kidney insufficiency. She read the warning on claritin not to use or talk to her Dr about dosage. She is wondering about using Benadryl if that carries the same warning. She sees a Nephorologist the middle of this month.

I know that claritin has a different active ingredient than benadryl but that both are histamine blockers, so it is a good idea for you to stay away from those until she actually meets up with her doctor. I know it is probably going to be frustrating to not be able to take anything, but it's better to play it safe. Please keep us posted.
