Labiaplasty Nightmare

Did this ever happen? I think it would be great to have some kind of group. I've gone through the same kind of thing 8 years ago. It's heart breaking to know it's still going on and nothing is being done to regulate this procedure and protect patients.

Hi, I hope you didn't go ahead with this surgery! I am having so many problems since then:((( I wish I had never done it, it's very very risky and nerves can be easily damaged, it's a total gamble with your well being

hey all. This sama tragedy happened to me ! Surgeon removed all of my minora.... :'( feels like my life is over. we have to do something about this. We should club together and raise this issue so that doctors and scientist would find a way to help and make it better. I would like to talk with women with same experience. Can we keep in Touch with each other for support. Sorry my bad English...

Hey! I had labiaplasty surgery three months ago and surgeon removed all of my labia minora :'( you who went through the same thing know exaclty how incredibly bad it feels! Now i think it's time that we gather together and do something about this issue! I have understood that in the future it is possible to 3d print human tissue and organs... so it can't be impossible to make new labia !!!!!! I'm desperate and i want to talk to women who gone are sufferin from this. Hi my name is Samantha I went for surgery for my labiaplasty I had to get 2 of the labia lips cut cuz it was so big so I went and did the surgery it healed but I noticed that is still hanging and the left side lip is still big I don't know what to do I don't wanna spend money and loan again I wanted my doctor to redo it for me with out paying I went to Scarborough general hospital I went like 2 years ago:-(

I'm sorry that happened to you. Please don't hold your breath on 3d printed tissue. Contrary to the misleading headlines, that is literally 2-3 decades away (for use by the public). And the main (ie. only) focus with be on life-sustaining organs--heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, etc. Labia will not even be on the radar. I don't like to see people misled by promises that will likely NEVER come true. If you feel you'd like to look into surgical repair soon, Dr. Alter in California is supposed to be the best at revising botch jobs. Also there is a doctor in North Carolina who is supposed to be highly regarded in revisions as well. Good luck to you.

Hi I had this surgery done 3 months ago and the surgeon removed all of my labia I'm also really upset about it It feels really dry down there and still sore and I can see scaring I'm so sad about the whole thing. Does anyone know of a surgeon who does reconstruction surgery in the uk?

Is there somewhere private we can all talk? I had a similar experience 20 years ago and then a reconstruction, which also involved a burning technique which made the situation much, much worse. I fight depression daily. I would like to talk to others sometimes.

Honeybee! I have had the same thing done to me, almost exactly. I went in for what was supposed to be a minor labia tear repair and the surgeon did a completely different surgery to me that we didn't discuss. She amputated my labia to the root all the way from top down to vaginal area, when we only discussed her removing a tiny edge of tissue at the very upper most tip. She also performed surgery on my clitoral hood which has no feeling, but severe pain which runs up the clitoral leg/shaft, and into my pelvis. I also have no nerves or arteries or veins left in my external sex organs as she cut them off, so no swelling worth blood now, so arousal not possible. I feel nothing, and this has also destroyed my relationship when we were about to get married and begin a family.

I am so distraught also, I cannot bear living like this. I cannot bear sex or touch, and I am in pain constantly, and I need to sue the Dr because it's just not right for a surgeon to go around doing unconsented surgeries to women and not just removing their sexual organs, but totally mutilating and destroying them and all that is left. It is so wrong, and now I have to find a way to go through another excruciating surgery just to try to undo some of mistakes she has made stitching my frenulum to my prepuce and more painful things besides .

I've been struggling to find a lawyer who will take on the case! If you found one, please please pass them along! I need help, and want to prevent his happening to others.
