Over the last 2 years I have had several symptons relating to the last several post on this site. Can I suggest you all find a doctor who also practices alternative medicine. I was muschle tested for allergies and intolerances and was severly intolerant to wheat, dairy and sugar. As food becomes more processed our bodies begin to revolt and if you have other health problems then this can be exacerbated. I have no thyroid and the thyroid is hugely responsible for many hormone balances in the body. Eat fresh food, drink filtered water and look for that alternative health professional

What is there left to eat? Can a "regular" physician test for this allergy with blood work? And yes my mother has a thyroid issue also.

Hi, I have fibromyalgia and it is one of the symptoms along with lots of others. I also have a chronic back condition including stenosis and atrophying of the muscles and nerves which doesn't help. I don't take any medication as I have found the side effects can be terrible or they don't work. I use natural anti inflammatory's and have had some success. I also have difficulty with exercising due to back but have found that stretching can help. Good luck.

Hi, my son has finally after 5 years been diagnosed with Epstein-Barr syndrome which has all the symptoms that you are experiencing. It can be similar to Lime disease. My son first started complaining of these symptoms when he was seventeen. You have to keep pushing the doctors and changing doctors until you find one that cares. My son is starting to feel better so I hope this has been some help.

Yes I was going to say that it could be Fibromyalgia as I have had it for years, but I also have Osteoarthritis all over my body also, as I have had nearly everything x-rayed over the years, and Fibromyalgia makes it ten times worse, I ended up going to an Osteopath, that was 30 years ago and she performed a miracle on my spine, neck and shoulders, as my muscles had all locked, and she loosened them, and I managed to work till I was 65, only because I had to work to bring my kids up, but then I had to look after myself, so I continued to work, I retired this year in January, and believe it or not, my body is worse now, because I am not moving my body so much and I am sitting down a lot not, so keep your body moving and try to work as long as you can. I get Amitriptyline now for the Fibromyalgia, but to be honest I don't think it helps me.

I have had fibro for over 30 years and so does my son and sister. We take Fioricet for the pain. It is not a strong pain killer but the mix of the drug -45 mg caffiene, 350 mg of tyelenol and something kin to phenobarbital helps us. Not a usual drug for fibro. It works for us and is not addictive and few side effects. You can take up to 6 in a 24 hour period. I have been on it for 15 years and it still helps. Take heart. I am now in my 60s and I don't hurt as much. A good chiropractor is a must. I also take generic Elavil as well as diazepam when the fronts come in. Watch the barometric pressure. It controls your body. You will feel differntly the next day. Do not let it put you in bed for more than a few hours. Good luck and have sunshine every day when you can. I have worked at least 3 days a week for years abd raised my 3 kids with fibro. You can too! You aren't sick-you have a chronic problem!!!

I have the same problem, found out I have lupus, but the doctors are not sure what is causing the heaviness, have seen a nuerologist, still no reason for the heaviness, stiffness and tingling and numbness, makes walking difficult and worst climbing stairs.
