My father had heart attack over a year and a half ago. His doctor told him that there was a time limit in which we may see some improvement in the heart. However, there was no improvement after that amount of time. Both atriums are completely damaged & there is slight damge to the ventricles. When he asked his doctor how long he may have to live, the doctor told him "You have just as long now as you did before the heart attack". This being such an open answer, I was wandering if there are any doctors out there who may be able to give me a little more specific answer. I know that there is no definite time frame, but just a guestimation would be helpful. I will not hold anyone accountable for their answer. We wouold just like some kind of idea of what we're dealing with.
