Hello too all. I know exactly how some of you are feeling & it is no fun! I would really love to get this figured out so any help @ all would be much appreciated. I am almost 19 now & I have been having the symptoms since I was 16. My regular doctor, just thinks I'm crazy, says I need to go to counseling or a take an anti-depressant. I am not depressed what so ever & I know that is not going to help me because this is physical. Mine was brought on by some kind of sickness, the doctors suspected it could have been EBV(Epstein Bar Virus) later on. My symptoms are this "head fog" that most of you have mentioned, which is the worst one for me because it is constant from the second I open my eyes in the morning until the time I go to sleep. It is almost like I am floating, not quite all there... it is hard to explain but it is very unpleasant & it really worries me. It almost seems like I'm not getting enough oxygen to my brain but supposedly my oxygen levels are fine. When I work out the "head fog" seems too get worse & I begin to feel very light headed & I have to sit down( I started to noticed this after I started smoking cigarettes again, I have quit now). I also have a sensitivity to light, especially bright lights like when I go to wal mart or fred meyers for example. I am constantly fatigued, which isn't normal for someone my age. My other symptoms which aren't as constant but still come quite often are: minor twitches in my head, light headed when I stand, headaches, neck & back soreness. I also had very low blood pressure for awhile, but that seems to have went away, the neurologist caught that by doing the lay down, stand up test thing. It seems to get lower right after walking. At rest I am fine, that is why it is so hard for the doctors to catch. When I had my MRI done on my brain the only thing he saw was that I had a pretty bad sinus infection, I took anti-biotics & it didn't go away. When I went to the sinus specialist, he gave me some nasal steroid spray & kind of shrugged me off saying that it looked fine. But my regular doctor checked my sinuses right before my MRI & she also said I was fine so I don't know. I also went to a cardiologist, & he said my heart looked fine, but he still seemed a little worried, wanted me to follow up with him, I haven't yet. Does anyone have any kind of information for me that could help me? Thank you so much for taking the time to read. I hope you all can figure out what is going on with you & start feeling good again. God Bless you all!!

I literally to a tea have the exact same symptoms as you...this has been going on with me for the last 18 months, and it is terribly bothersome. I feel like I'm dying some days. I just can't stand living like this, it affects my enjoyment of life so much, because I'm constantly worrying everyday about what I'm feeling today and what's going to happen. What really upsets me is that I cant even go to a restaurant anymore without feeling head pressure or spaceyness, it also effects my driving. I have a 17 month old daughter and I'm only 24 years old and want to me able to run around and have fun with my daughter, nit sit home because I'm in pain.

Have you had any updates? If so let me know... I've been to every specialist known to man so I'm doing my own investigation.

Thank you!

I HAVE THE SOLUTION, EVERYONE MUST READ PLEASE:

Anyways recently I caught a very bad flu from my coworker. The flu caused me fever for a week. However a couple of days after the fever disappeared. I suddenly started to feel DIZZY, SPACEY, LIGHTHEADED, CONFUSED, HEADACHE and I couldn't concentrate on anything, couldn't even watch TV. The only thing I could do is lay down on my bed and sleep. However even when I got up, the feeling remained, and I was constantly in this dizziness state for a week.
I went online to search for a solution, however I was not able to find a real answer. It seemed like there could be a billion reasons and causes for my symptom, a lot of individuals seemed to never find any solution and is stuck with these horrible symptoms for months or years! I also went to my family doctor and he diagnosed it as vertigo and subscribe some medicine for me, however it didn't work at all, and I realized that vertigo's symptom is completely different since it include the patient feeling like everything is spinning which is definitely not my case.
Then I was recommended by a friend to see acupuncture specialist doctor Jason Sung, he was able to diagnose my problem in a few minutes. And after one treatment of acupuncture, I felt a lot better and I was completely normal in 2 days. I went in for another treatment just to prevent future symptoms.

For people who don't believe in the power of acupuncture, TRUST ME, it works, from my personal experience, it is almost like magic but there are science behind it with thousand of years of research and practice in China. An acupuncture specialist like Jason had many years of practice to perfect this art that is passed down from generation to generation.

I had another experience when I was young and caught a really high fever for almost 10 days, the fever would go up and down, but never went away, and I was so tortured by it, went to the hospital many times, got MRI scan, NOTHING worked, no medicine or anything.
And I went to an acupuncture specialist, and he cured him in like minutes, LITERALLY, my fever went away just five minutes after he started the treatment, and it never came back again.
I recommended anyone who has similar type of problem to see doctor Jason and be able to live a healthy life again.

If you dont live in LA area, find a local acupunture specialist asap

I am in shock as to how many people have these feelings. I had this type of thing happen to me back in October 2010. I as many others said thought it was just me. I have been to my family doc a few times and to an Endocrinologist and they both say all my tests are normal now. My testosterone was a little on the low side. My family doc put me on some anti depressants about 3 weeks ago and I go back in for a check up Monday. I really didn't see any difference taking them. I think I'll check into acupuncture just for the heck of trying it. I'll try anything if there is a chance of feeling normal again.

I always feel a little off but some days I'm feeling so off I don't know what to do. With me it's mostly dizzy, disconnected dream state. nerves, feeling like I'm on edge. My feet are cold sometimes and my legs sometimes feel restless and tingle.

If I'm lucky enough to find something that works I'll be sure to post it back up in here. I know this is a terrible feeling to deal with on a daily basis.

I'm a male 38 years old
non smoker
non drug use
I did have cancer in the past.

I am a 38 year old male. I have had all of these same symptoms for the past 6 months. Lightheaded, spacey, buzzed feeling, pressure centered around the eyes. It comes and goes but is worse during the day. I have had the major tests done, MRI of head and neck, chiropracter, bloodwork, eye tests, ect. All came back normal. I started taking Celexa about 3 weeks ago- no effect to this point. My doctor said it is stress and anxiety, but I have never struggled with stress or anxiety. I am very frustrated because I read a lot of posts about the problems we are facing, but no one seems to post an answer. I am looking for an answer. Please post if you have any suggestions. I am looking into Candida, migranes or some sort of seizure problem. I have no other evident symptoms. Please help ! Thanks-Todd

Hi everyone, I am so happy to have stumbled on this site. I have had these symptoms (everything above) for about ten years and now I meet new people everyday with similar problems. I have given up on doctors, I am just taking it easy, allow it to happen and wait for it to pass because it was hindering my life. According to one doctor, if it hasnt killed me for ten years it will not kill me again so I am moving on with my life. I am now helping other sufferers to adjust, hoping one day we can find a reason and cure. Thanks all for sharing, you have no idea how much you helped.

Hey guys, i too feel like that; dizzy if i move quickly or just random dizzy spells every so often, slight headaches and head pressure throughout the day, mostly everyday, i have some balance issues when i try to walk fast around a corner or get up to fast and try to walk even faster. i also have slight memory issues. ill say something and then four seconds later i'm like "what did i just say again?" but, then again, short term memory isn't very long, so.. that is common. you guys with memory issues, same thing. forgetfullness is one of the most common things in humans, only because short term memory is so long, and inorder to get something planted into your brain, you have to somewhat.. make it important if you will. as for the dizziness, my theory is its allergies. i'm pretty sure i have some pollen allergies and that can cause headaches and light headed feelings sometimes. also aches throughtout the body to some people. im 16, and it's just started for me and i'm very worried about it, but the more i read about it with other people, it seems to be common and not as severe as  i thought. originally i thought it was a brain tumor, but one of the symptoms is emotional changes. i don't think any of you have had that? sudden emotional outbursts, or behavioral changes that are odd. one thing i heard a nurse say at a hospital once to somebody was that most people with brain tumors or brain problem's eyes are dialated most of the time due to pressure or something, even in light they are dialated. So, thats one thing to look for. now, even though you may have one of these symptoms doesn't mean anything bad. it could just be a few things wrong, minor though. i am getting my eye exam soon, so, if anything comes up i will surely tell you guys. one of the first diagnosis for something wrong is through an eye doctor. anyways.. keep me updated please? i'd like to know anything about this, for it worries me constantly. goodluck, and i wish you the best.

I was reading over this thread...don't know if many of you check back, as it is old, but... I, too, had/have the symptoms mentioned - dizzy, disconnected, mental fog, weight gain, gluten allergy, etc.  All blood tests came back normal, as well.  I researched and found that body temperature (regulated by thyroid), if too low, can be a big factor to all of these symptoms and more (Wilson's Temperature Syndrome).  I kept a log of my body temp (three-five times a day) and presented it to my dr.  My temperature was very low; 96.5 in the morning - He prescribed Armour based on my body temperature.  I have been on it for two days.... I am praying and hoping that this will make me feel better.  So far, it has made me very, very dizzy and disconnected (have to type and retype cause my fingers/brain aren't keeping up with each other, lol).  If you have these symptoms and blood work comes back ok, then start taking your temperature upon rising, and then during the day, to see if your body temp. could be too low!

You are ok and you will be fine, you just have to find a way to ignore it and get on with your life. Its something to do with anxiety or maybe low body temp or a combination. I have this for seven years but its getting better to handle as I try to ignore it.

I wish there was an easy answer to this issue. I definitely feel your pain. My life changed in one day. I too, had many tests, bloodwork, eyes checked. I have heard about the candida thing, and asked my doc, but he did not think so. I have sort of given up trying to find a solution. I was always looking for an answer and never seemed to find one , even on this site. Here is what I have learned and think may be the cause. My Dr. initially said anxiety, but I am a laid back person, no anxiety attatcks, no panic, no nothing. I had a real difficult time beleiving it was anxiety. I have taken lexapro and amitriptiline, but they both made no impact one way or the other. It was difficult for me to believe it was anxiety. After about a year, it is the only conclusion I have to this. I am a school teacher. Over this past summer,my symptoms did subside, as I was away from school. Once I started back, I had headaches, dizziness, spaceiness, the whole gamet. I accepted it was probably anxiety. I found that exercise in the morning helped substantially. I am better this year, than I was at this time last year. I do believe my body is trying to fight this and get me back to normal. Hang in there... I wish I had a better more definite answer.

Curious to know if anyone has had any breakthroughs.  I have had the same spacey, lightheaded, fatigue feeling which can be confused with anxiety attacks for the past few months and have been diagnosed with sinus infections.  Finally, I went for blood work, sinus ct scan and allergy test.  They found that I was low in Vitamin D where prescription vitamins are needed and allergic to dust mites as well as mold.  All 3 of these things can cause fatigue and upper respiratory issues.  I started on the vitamin D yesterday and took some allergy medicine today.  In addition I went out and brought an air purifier to help clear the air in my home.  My job has done the same and invested in 2 air purifying machines in the hopes that it will help.  Everyone has dust mites its in the bed room and on the throw pillows.  It is so important to keep your sleeping area clean and as clutter free as possible.  Well - let me know and I will keep you posted.

Has anyone here had an ultrasound check of the flow of their carotid arteries? Just a thought. My dad suffered similar symptoms for years and had total blockage of one artery and very high blockage in the other before it was found. By that time he had much more serious problems from the lack of blood flow. But I now THINK maybe in stressful times, physical AND mental, his blood vessels constricted, ( a normal stress reaction) further reducing the blood flow to his brain. Might be worth checking if you can. He had every test under the sun for 20-30 years and was told it was psychological also. He had this test done and at least it finally made sense. Might not be a single person here's problem, but if I didn't mention it I'd be wrong.

well i do ecg annually i think they would have found a blocked attery. an attery cant stay blocked for so many years without serious complications can it? did you dad have high cholosterol? that could be the reason for the locked attery. anyway thanks for the info, i can still look into it.
