I don't know the definitive answer to that question, but I seriously doubt it. Thanks for the tip though. My injury was a year ago and I don't feel any arthritis yet, but will do anything I can to avoid it. I already take fish oil, but haven't heard of the other 2 preventing arthritis.

This has been a three year ordeal. Initially I experienced midfoot pain, i am active, so often experience pain of various nature. Waiting for self healing. Eventually saw my MD. Initial diagnosis was stress fracture. Wore a walking boot. No resolution. Referred to orthopaedic surgeon who diagnosed a bone spur irritating nerves causing pain. Osetophite trimmed surgery, again no resolution. Analgesic and cortisone injected via fluoroscopy between 2nd metatarsal and median cuneiform bones. Instant relief. Surgery to fuse this joint with screwed and bone graft, recovery non weight bearing cast boot and crutches then slowly increase usage. Pain still excessive. Surgeon felt possibly hardware (screws) causing irritation. Surgery to remove screws. Again or still, pain. Months on a waiting list to see a foot specialist. Further diagnostic test including SPECT scan. Results showed joint not fused as had been diagnosed by previous surgeon. Now will have new fusion surgery using a different technique using a plate and screws along with bone grafting. Here’s hoping. When every step you take is a 4-5 on a ten point pain scale there is little i wont try to fix it...
