This just happened to me tonight. I felt it after I had gone to the bathroom and reached down to feel what was down there and pulled this long clealish gooey but not sticky or smelly mucus out and was like wtf. So I googled “just pulled a clear gooey clump out of my vagina” and this feed popped up. I would have to agree with this post now the I’m thinking back. It’s been maybe 3-4 weeks since I’ve been off my birth control and probably 2-3 weeks since my last period and this has never happened before so I’m glad nothings wrong with me! Age:24

I’ve noticed whenever you have sex or masturbate that either the next morning or the the same day later on this will happen. I’m pretty sure it just happens to be your vagina releasing everything bad in there. Your vagina is self cleaning and having sex is something your vagina wants to clean out just in case any unwanted bacteria is there.

birth control, even when used to monitor and treat symptoms of periods pms and hormonal fluctuation, is specifically designed to make your body think its pregnant. the side effect of this, is your body creates a thick mucous to protect your uterus and whatever is or is not inside from infection and to create a plug to keep everything inside until menstruation.
It also functions to keep semen out because of how thick the mucous becomes, which is why it is so effective in contraception. Once you go off of the birth control, one of the consequences is (perhaps even for months) you will notice thick and viscous mucous discharge, and this is simply your body purging the mucous plug since it knows it does not/ no longer has a purpose. I did not have this problem until i also went off of birth control, however when i was younger i did notice a larger quantity of discharge at seemingly random times, i just didnt know it was due to or during ovulation. the first ovulation period post pc was alarming to say the least, and every now and then i still have a build up of mucous shed before and during ovulation, but mostly is only aggravated by excreting. if the mucous was not clear or white, and was colored and had an odour, then there would be an issue. as it stands, no worries
