I have been diagnosed with digenerative disc disease in L4,5 and S1. Since July my disease has worsened. I have a broken tail bone and all 3 coxyx are separated. I am taking Lortab 10 daily. I have built a tolerance to them an they no longer work. I am perscribed 120 a month in which only last me about 3 weeks. I like the "uppity" feeling that the tabs give me an it also reduces the pain for about 3 hours but not only about 70%. I thought about asking for a change to Percocets. I am not sure what to do. I take my meds daily and I like the feeling that the tabs give me but the pain reducing is very limited. If I take the percocets will they do the same thing? I hear that percocets are stronger than the tabs. I was also given Kadian 20 mgs to take twice a day. NOPE, they didn't phase the pain at all. I am also given somas to take at night, but, I don't like taking them because I am in neverland and droggy the next day. I go to the DR next week and I am just not sure what to do. He told me he would have to UP me to something higher next time if I am not feeling more releif from the Lortabs. If I change to the percocets will they reduce the pain for a longer time and also give me an uppity feeling to where I can perform my daily duties? DR mentioned something about roxy and oxy. I am also very leary about those meds too. I don't want an addiction to that and I hear they are very addicting. Can anyone give me some insight as to why they are? I would like insight on what I should discuss with him next week. But I am taking way too many Lortabs per day and I need my meds changed. Thanks for anyone's reply!
