some back story: i'm a 22 yr old female, 154 lbs 5'3 (so a little overweight). I was diagnosed about 2ish years ago with PCOS.. dr put me on Metformin. I lost a bunch of weight and things were lookin good. I eventually just kinda stopped taking the metformin and within the last month or so started taking it again. okay thats one issue. another thing i've been dealing with w/in the last couple years is stomach issues. it started as just randomly being sick after i ate.. throwing up excessively, insane cramping, etc. so i went the the dr who said i had too much acid in my stomach which was burning a whole (kinda like a ulcer but not he said) and so he put me on an acid reducer, which helped. i had to to go the dr again months later for the same type of thing on a lesser extreme and again i was put on another acid reliever. a few months ago i started having stomach problems again. just general nausea, pretty much at random times. wasn't hungry as much. food didn't worsen or help the symptoms. i wasn't vomiting (maybe once) but just in pain. so again, to the dr.. and again with another acid reducer. the only test he ever gave me for the stomach probs was on my first visit they did an ultrasound on my gall bladder and all was well so ever since then he's assumed its the same thing and given me diff. types of acid reducing meds.
so cut to now: i'm still having stomach problems. i get full very easily and for hours afterwards my stomach is upset. for example today i ate very little, the last time being around 2:30. its now 11pm and i still feel like i just ate a full meal, and uncomfortable. on top of that i've just generally felt like c**p since eating. and i've been getting hot flashes. i took my temperature during one thinking maybe i had a fever, was getting the flu or something. it beeped at 94.6. i took it again, just thinking maybe it was wrong. again in the 94s. i waiting til i didn't physically feel as hot anymore and checked again and it was up to 96 and finally up to 97 again later. i have checked my temp various times since then and anytime i take it during a hot flash its down in the 94s or 95s and a few mins after it passes its up to the 96s but never higher than 97. my temp. has never ran real high anyways but i think that seems abnormally low.
maybe i'm just being paranoid by posting here. i was just seeing if anyone else had experience with any of this or advice?
sorry it was so long, i appreciate if anyone reads the whole thing!
thanks again!

Also, metformin can cause stomach problems. Have you seen a specialist about the stomach problems? Perhaps it is time to see a gastroenterologist. Just an ultrasound doesn't sound like it is a very thorough exam, even for acid reflux diagnosis.

I could have written your posts of 4 years ago. Stomach pains, lump in my throat & esophageal pressure, BIG weight increases and decreases. Part of it turned out to be thyroid problems. About the same time, they found Celiac (Sensitivity to gluten which is wheat, rye, oats, and barley) It is found in a bunch of foods for different purposes, but almost never under the names gluten, wheat, rye, oats, or barley. Then I found that I am also sensitive to milk and dairy products. A little is OK, but any quantity, even over time, and I am in pain. My temperature is low even after being treated for thyroid. Go see an endocrinologist AND a gastroenterologist. If you go to a hospital and are uninsured or underinsured, they will help you out.
