Hi ,

I am 21 years old and my periods are usually regular. But for the first time, I have noticed a lower amount of bleeding. Though this period was on time , I am not sure of why there is a noticable change in the amount of bleeding. Though, it is not as low as spotting, it did reduce very much(My usual cycle is for 3 days with medium bleeding).

I did not have any menstrual cramps while this occured. Also , I am not too thin, neither am I stressed out. My food habits are almost near to healthy. Recently, I haven't had any major changes in my lifestyle. However, I have coarse facial hair growth on my chin & upperlip. Since this has never affected my period ,I did not take any treatment for this. I only wax this hair twice a month. Now, I doubt if this has something to do with my reduced period.

Also this is the only occurance of the above situation. I have never come across such low bleeding earlier. Can you please advise?

I don't think you can stop your period an earlier than it will naturally! If it's very painful take some painkillers!
