So for about 7 months now I have had a problem where when I pass stool i feel this tearing sensation in my anal region and there seems to be bright red blood on my stool (Not alot, about quarter size) and when i wipe. I ignored it for about 6 months.when i wipe once u can see the small thin line of blood but when wipe again there's nothing. when i was a child I used to hold my stool in all the time until it forced me to go to the bathroom. I did this till i was 16 years old. I had a hemorrhoid about 1-2 years ago that got big to where i could barely sit with out discomfort. i eventually put hemorrhoid cream on it till it went away or at least the discomfort was gone. I don't drink water alot (about 1 bottle a day) i drink milk mostly and that's about 1-2 glasses a day so my stool has been hard. When i consulted my doctor they said to take probiotics and get more fiber. So i drink these probiotic yogurt smoothies 2 times a day. its been about 3 days since i started this and i have passed bowels 3 times, all 3 times no more blood and my stool has felt much softer, the problem is now when i go it almost feels like my anus muscle is wanting to close or not wanting to relax so my soft stool becomes thin coming out. the thin still has only happened once out of the 3 times. I pass small amounts of gas 1-2 times a hour. I had my wife check my anal region and take pictures. We couldn't really tell if we saw anything, there was this small purple area where the tearing felt to be coming from but it didn't look like a inflamed hemorrhoid but we couldn't tell if it was just naturally what the anus looked like or if it was a small hemorrhoid. at the entrance of the anus hole it looked like i had some left over stool but it was kinda yellowish balls. I have no abdominal pain and no unexpected weight loss. I am 23 years old at 245 pounds and am 6'2". I have a cancer phobia but none of my family history besides my father biological mother has had cancer, she had breast cancer and ended up passing from it when i was 8.

A tearing sensation in the anal region and bright red blood on the stool could be a sign of a few different conditions (besides hemorrhoids), including:
-
Anal fissures: Anal fissures are small tears in the lining of the anus, which can cause pain and bleeding during bowel movements.
-
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): IBD is a chronic inflammation of the digestive tract that can cause bleeding, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
-
Colorectal cancer: While less common, colorectal cancer can also cause bleeding and discomfort in the anal area, but it is very rare.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention from a healthcare professional. They can perform a physical exam and possibly order additional tests to determine the underlying cause and recommend appropriate treatment.
