A thrombosis can occur during periods of frequent and prolonged sexual activity, especially fellatio. It is usually harmless and self-corrects within a few weeks.

A thrombosis (clot) of a penile lymphatic vessel. Lymphatics are tissue vessels that are present all over the body connecting lymph nodes. It is a distinctly separate system from blood vessels (arteries and veins). Rather than blood, they carry an opaque fluid called lymph. Their function is to keep the tissues healthy by filtering out harmful substances (such as bacteria, viruses, tumor cells, etc.) and enhancing immunity. Sometimes during sexual activity, the lymphatics get bruised resulting in subsequent clot formation. One notices a firm, often finely beaded vessel under the skin of the penis that is mildly tender. This is not a dangerous condition and the clot resolves on its own in a few weeks unless there is recurrent trauma to the area.

It's called a lymphocele, it's a collection of lymph fluid and it's very common. It heals on it's own without any treatment. I've had it before! It appears after vigorous masturbation or intercourse. The vein may also sometimes feel hard.

Many of you should probably read

However get checked by your GP then a Urologist!!!

I've seen both about it now and am going back to my GP with some follow up questions, but what I gather so far is that it's basically harmless. It's possible that it's "Hoffmans Lymphangitis" but not for sure, could be scared tissue from Circumcision and seems to come and go. As far as the hard lump that forms centrally on the shaft just under the glans and is hard... no clue, probably related to the same thing, it doesn't hurt and it comes and goes as well.

Either way, I never had both until a couple nights of vigorous sex or masturbation. So lay off YO! For those of you who say it hasn't gone away in six months or more... have you really changed your habits?! :-D It's hard to take a break, but dudes... sometimes you need to take the girl on some walks to just be relational, it helps with the bonding :-).

yeah guys, very helpful. Exactly what I have, thought it was a blocked vein but couldn't work out how. Mine also occured after vigorous bouts of sex. will try the suggested things: 1)hot baths 2)'deep heat' - thats what we call the muscle cream in UK 3)not sure how ibuprofen would help if its lymph fluid clots but I'l be sure to ask my GP and report back. Mark.

Thanks guys. I too was wondering what it was. Are warm showers also effective to help reduce the blood cloth?

HELLO EVERYONE,

I will provide an ANSWER for some of you!!

First let me explain what I had so that we are clear what it was and that it might be different to what you have.

My "lump" developed spontaniously and very quick I noticed a lump several weeks ago the first time. At the backside of my penile shaft on the top about 1cm under the edge of the head ...

To Touch:
The lump first was soft (almost not noticible when unerrect) then hard, when erect .. after a week without sex it went a little smaller but then as I continued, it went slightly larger. After 2-3 weeks it was hard and similar size when errect or not.

The Size:
Some reffered to the size as a small pea, the same here, abit oval 5mm long 3 mm wide, something like that.

Position:
Right under the skin but not attached to the fist layer, meaning I could freely move the fist layer of skin over it. It was attached a layer below (I think the shaft itself)

It felt like one of those blood sucker that bite you during the summer and then fill up with blood, just not on the skin but on the shaft with the skin covering it...

Anyways I was very peranoid, didnt feel like dropping my pants to bare doctors who will tell me either nothing to worry about, or reffer me to other doctors until the whole medical society saw my penis lol

So against all the internet doctors advice (who never have a useful diognosis), I got out a insulin needle really tiny thing, disinfected the area and carefullty pricked it. ( I should add that when I pressed the lump out againt my skin it looked almost like a transparent ball) and in one go a clear liquid come out and the whole thing deflated :-)))

Anyways if my description matched exactly yours, dont worry about it. and if you cant wait 4 weeks for the thing to subside, do what I did with a very steady hand ;-)

Hope I helped my fellow man alittle with this as I could find any good info on the net.

All the best

Ahh yes I have this too..I only see it when im hard and it kinda looks like a genital wart but its UNDER the skin so it most certainly is not one.( I asked the STD doctor) And I did notice it after rigorous sexual activity( I was drunk so it took me an hour to come) I usually only go 10 minutes.

Lymphangiosclerosis is a hardened lymph vessel, although it can feel like a hardened, almost calcified or fibrous, vein. It tends not to share the common blue tint with a vein however. It can be felt as a hardened lump or "vein" even when the penis is flaccid, and is even more prominent during an erection. It is considered a benign physical condition. It is fairly common and can follow a particularly vigorous sexual activity for men, and tends to go away if given rest and more gentle care, for example by use of lubricants.

Hello I currently have this also. I have been to a GP and a Urologist. Neither seemed to think it was much but I have had it for almost 3 weeks and it's driving me crazy. It started on the left right under my penis head and shifted across the top to the right side. The left side of it is a bump has gone done slightly but the vein part hasn't. I was put on Naprosyn and that's it nobody wants to deal with thing. Just everyone keeps saying it will go away with time. It hasn't gotten worse the left lump is a tad bit better but I need this thing gone now! Any other ideas? I have tried warm rags and asprin also any other ideas?

Has anyone had any luck resolving this problem? If anything, my lump is getting larger not smaller, although I have been sexually active quite a bit lately.

Oh thank god I'm not the only one with this. I totally jumped to cancer, but these all match the description to a t. Mines not painful, feels like a clogged vein, and I can push it around under the skin. I noticed it only a few days ago and I'm paranoid.

I also ready that a super high percentage of penis cancers are skin related.

Still it's causing a sh*t load of anxiety as I have a spermatocelle as well. Maybe I should stop whacking off so hard.
