I read a lot about the risks of prostate cancer recently, and some doctors were advising men to self check regularly, like with self exams for breast cancer, which I think are a lot less complicated. Apparently, prostate cancer starts out as a lump on the prostate gland. So, what do I do to self examine?

I think you have to insert a finger into your and and go upwards. The prostate is located on the other side of your scrotum basically, but internally obviously. The prostate is supposed to be smooth, without lumps. If you do notice a lump, you should contact a doctor. If you feel unable or uncomfortable doing self examinations, you can also get your GP to do it, every other year I think.

Am I supposed to feel my bulbourethral gland in my perineum? I can only feel one and not the other.
