I have been training to run a half-marathon which has been a lot of fun so far, if it hadn't been for the fact that a lump on my quad muscle was discovered during a medical check up. I am not yet sure about what it is, so that is why I have come here for some answers, hopefully.

Well, I am not so sure. How did they find out about the lump in the first place? Cant you ask the people who who gave you the information about the lump in the first place about this? I am sure that it is just a fatty lump or something of similarly harmless nature, but if you are not sure, you will probably need a biopsy.
