I have been having lots of trouble with really painful periods recently, and a lot of bleeding too. In the end, I went to see an OB/GYN and they did an ultrasound. Well, apparently she found a lump on my womb and I am beside myself with fear about cancer now. Can anyone tell me more about what I might have?

I am sorry to hear you are feeling scared. Hugs to you! First of all, are you sure that they didn't make a mistake with the ultrasound? Secondly, there are lots of lumps that can occur in the uterus that are definitely not cancer, like cysts or fibroma, which are not too tricky to treat - non invasive surgery tends to solve these. Good luck with everything!

Yes, that's what my doctor said about the cysts too, but then I go online and read lots of scary things about cancer, hysterectomies and so on. I am happy to hear that cancer isn't all that common, though you can't help but worry, can you? I am sure that I'll find out soon, after they do the tests.
