It sounds like Mondor's disease which is just an inflammation of a vein which can happen in the breast, abdomen or penis. It can be caused by trauma or infection and can be treated with anti-inflammatory tablets. It's not very common (my doctor didn't know what it was) and it should disappear of its accord after about 12 weeks with no after effects. Google Mondor's disease for more detailed info.

Eat garlic and omega fish oils to reduce inflammation. Very small doses of Niacin (B3) can reduce blood clots/fatty plaques that can cause blockages if it is high cholesterol related. Also eating more fiber and vitamin E can help health of veins systemically chow down on some avocado/guacamole. Go for a run to get the circulatory system fired up, then have a hot bath after.
