My dad has a lump near his scapula on his back. He has had it for quite a while now, maybe 5 years. He didn't pay much attention to it back then because it was small like the size of a pea. Now it is about as big as a golf ball but a little bit smaller. It is about an inch long. Now after all this time is when he finally felt a pain sensation as he laid down to sleep one day. Every time you touch it, it hurts him. What could this possibly be? Is it cancerous? malignant or non malignant?

hi there i would advice to go and see the doctor as soon as possible,it doesnt sound like cancer as your father has had it for 5 years.to me it sounds like grittle under the skin but i am no expert get your father to the local doctors and they will tell you what it is.for know if it hurts when lying on the back lie on the side
