Is anyone on site that has had major surgery taking MAOI drugs anti depressant Nardil?

To be honest, I'm surprised that anyone is still prescribing MAOI inhibitors such as Nardil, mainly because situations like yours. Nardil reacts with a vast number of medications and some of those medications are pain killers and others are used as anesthetics. It even says that you shouldn't be taking Nardil if you're having a surgery, mostly because it will interfere with anesthetics.
How long are you taking this medication? I'm assuming this is not the first anti-depressant you're on, but now when there are few groups of far safer anti-depressants; it's strange that your doctor has you on MAOI inhibitor. I'm sorry if I'm asking too much, but I'm in a similar position, only I'm on SSRI anti-depressant and it did make painkillers sort of less effective after I had inflamed wisdom tooth extracted,
