mederma side effects

I'm using mederma on a serious laceration and while it does itch, its helping to heal nicely,
I just assume that the itching was a sign of healing...

Hey i just started using mederma for my acne scars & OMG it itches sooo bad on my face like its soo irritating & is it bad for it to be itching or is it a good thing because i spent soo much money and this stuff is making me go crazy

Hey Guys,

You need to try Bio Oil. It's fantastic and it evens out skin tone and faded a scar i got from a burn over a year old. It's fantastic btu i cant use it on my face. I ended up using the itchy mederma ion my face. Ugh this c**p really itches. I sit tere slapping my face cause i dont want to itch it. Does anyone know if the itching is an allergy or just a side effect??

I also used Mederma for only 3 days, but I feel itchy since day 1. I am thinking if this is side effect or this is healing. Anyone has idea?

I'm using Mederma on Keloid scat tissue on my hand. The tissue seems to be going away. The scar isn't itching bthey back and arms are itching and I have bruises from scratching. foes anyone else have itching anywhere besides the scar?

Im using Mederma for my acne scars.. It ich so bad when I put it on at night.. But its worth it cause you can really results.. My acne scars are healing extremely fast.

I had back surgery in 1984. My scar itched like crazy. I think that the itching is a reaction to the scar healing. I am also using Mederma, about three weeks now. I definitly see an improvement. Best of luck!

I have a very light spot on my face which has been very ugly from me .So i purchase the mederma cream when i apply on my face it's itching like hell what can i do i stop using go to other cream or should try later.. Pls help me iam so thankul uu..

Q Tips! I've been trying Mederma for 3 days and stopped for 2 because of the intense itching. I tried it again tonight after washing my face with mild face cleanser that didnt hace any exfoliating scrubs and put on the gell with Q tips. It's been almost an hour and no itching! (Would've "burned" by now) if it starts up again, I will try putting on Jergens Ultra Healing Skin Lotion on top of the gel once it dries, and see if that helps

I started using Maderma 2 weeks ago. Today I decided to get online and checked some reviews for the cream, because I thought I was having a allergic reaction (itching). But I just learned that a lot of people is having the same reaction. So, it's a normal reaction of Maderma. I'm going to try to finish it, because it's to expensive to throw away. Then I might try the Bio Oil.

Just started using mederma as directed by my Mohs surgeon. Skin cancer. She had to take large chunks out of my face, stretch my skin and stitch it all back to my nose. All from one little mole. I have found that mederma skin cream itched a bit, and made my eye burn like fire as my eyelashes would get it in my eye. I bought the gel and it burns much worse! Like fire. I am enduring the pain, because my face is looking better
