I have used Mederma for acne scars and regular scars and it works great, When I first stated using my face itched like CRAZY but itching is normal and can be reduced if you massage the gel onto your face evenly for about a minute :)

hi, mederma is very effective at helping acne scars. one of its ingredients is onion which has anti inflammatory and bacteriostatic properties. it is recommende to use it two t four times per day and it is common within the first week or two to cause minor itching. if the itching sensation continues longer than that then you would be best to go back to your doctor as you may benefit from using a differrent product. if your doctor is happy for you to continue using this product he may prescribe you a anti histamine to take. best to seek medical advice about it.
