My 15-year-old daughter is having a hard time with her weight. As of right now she weighs around 165. We've tried visiting dietitians and cutting certain foods from her diet, but nothing seems to be working for her. It's starting to really effect her mood on everything; she is very sensitive when we go shopping and always becomes sadder when she sees me pull out a large for her. It's starting to get me sad as well. I need help. Are there any special exercises or foods or diets that she can healthily take and lose weight efficiently? Please I need help!

Hi Momma,
The first thing for her to do is see her doctor. There can be medical reasons that she is having a hard time controlling her weight. It may not just be a diet.
Once that is ruled out, then it is down to diet and exercise. Turn off the TV, tell her to get active. She needs to burn more calories than she is taking in. You need to watch her diet too. Limit snacks. Make sure she eats a breakfast - it helps "jump-start" your metabolism. Use lean meat and cut carbs. No potato chips, watch the pizza.
Again, start with her doctor.
Good luck.
