my boyfriend has been sick for well over a month. he can't hold down anything not even water

my boyfriend has been sick for well over a month. he cant hold down anything not even water. he has been to the emergency room about5 or 6 times with no answers.we were told he needed to see a gi doctor but they can get him in for over a month. at this point i dont know what to do they even told him his white blood cell count was high but didnt say why or even try to figure it out. so my question is what should i do now he cant wait another month he has already lost 60 pounds
