I should have listened to my sister when she said to go to the doctor immediately. Now, I have to deal with my Dg., which is lobular breast carcinoma in situ. I have to say that I really lost it when I heard the diagnose and I hope that you can explain to me how dangerous this might be. Doctors said that the prognosis is really good, should I believe them?

Well, if they said that the chances for a full recovery are good, then you have to listen to them. When they say carcinoma in situ, or simply CIS, they mean that it is the pre cancer state which is not dangerous but must be dealt with immediately. I assume that the next step is a complete removal of the affected tissue so that there won’t be any complications later.
