Hi, I know how you are feeling because you were very scared and frustrated. Hepatitis is a serious disease, and only reasonable acting is to protect yourself from having it transmitted. Everybody should take more care about spreading and getting diseases, which are spread from person to person. You can not protect yourself completely, since there are always chances you can get it in the swimming pool, or any other public place where body fluids are excreted. Stay away from risky places and avoid contact with problematic persons.
