Well I was watching a friend and another guy fight, then I turned around to talk to my friends then r guy who was fighting my friend came and punched me on my face from behind. Hey guys I got in a fight and woke up the next morning with a v shaped cut all the way though my upper lip it cuz of my sharp thooth ,happened in Vegas 3 days ago I started to clean it when I got back its looking better but should I still go to the doctors even though the swelling is starting to go down ?? Help me ??

I was in a car accident 11 years ago and I bit my lower lip. I had all four of my bottom front teeth go through and I bit down putting my k9 teeth though the bottom half as well. I ended up with approximately a two inch cut across my lower lip. It took about two years or more to get back the feeling and even then it has never come back completely. I would say I have 80 percent of the feeling I used to have. I've learned to live with it. I hope this helps some people out there to know what to expect when they have a bad lip injury.

Thanks. I recently fainted and landed on my jaw, broke it in two places, lost a tooth and damaged two others badly. One tooth seems to have gone through my lip, and the cut was quite large. My lip has been swollen for 2 weeks, I got stitches twice in the same spot, and now I am noticing that it is numb right around the injury. Your input is helpful, I will also tell my doctor about it. Im lucky to live in Canada where most everything is covered.

Hit in face. Numb left lip left of nose small bit left cheek. Top teeth. At the mo. November 17 4 weeks later. Nose came back. Teeth lip cheek still numb quite worried. I have taken to bathing my face I hot water. Now moisture cream off wife. Massage cheeks nose every where. Given up. But today teeth feel better. Something happening. Pins needles funny feelings. If anyone wants to know I will tell so read and ask. Still not right fingers crossed

Same happened to me before 3 days . I was punched by my husband same as u mentioned. Same numbness i have in my left side nose nd left side upper lips. I visited the doctor she suggested me to go to eye specialist but still i didnt. I have bad experience with my husband he does like it usually to me. Better u complain on him in my i am forced i cannot i wish thhat i could

I was punched in the face playing basketball and have a conussion. The docor said after a couple days that the numbness in my top lip up to my eye should go away yet it hasnt. Its been 3 days and im starting to get scared. It tingles and itches and when i look down or move my lip a sertain way it sends a shook up through my cheek. Im able to smile and move my facial muscles. Its stopping me from sleeping and makes me feel awkward. Anyone know what i could do to help my nerves and if you think its permanent?
