I had them too. I had the Mirena IUD. I was feeling myself ovulating. I noticed it had a pattern and happened about the same time. We realized what it was. A lot of women can feel themselves ovulate.

Hi guys i had strange fluttery feeling in my lower stomach which came on and off and sometimes cause nausea and head aches. I didn’t know what it was and I was def not pregnant and it was too late for ovulation and was worried about it so I went and had it checked at a health specialist and it turned out to be parasites. Besides all of the more noticeable problems it can also cause weird fluttery like feeling and can also cause weight gain. It is normal to have parasites in your body, everyone has them in small amount and they don’t normally cause a lot of problems but can increase in amounts when the body has been under stress and can also come from intercourse, water, bad food and can enter pretty much anywhere through a hole in your body. It sounds really bad but it’s not too serious, And pretty easy to treat just get some medicine either from your local chemist or a health shop, if you can rather use the herbal meds, it may cost more but won’t have nasty side effects and it won’t matter too much if you take them and you don’t think you have parasites because there is no harm of getting rid of the ones in your body. This might not be the cause to your problem but hope it helps to some people.

WOW!!! Ok I thought I was going crazy too!!! I too have never been pregnant and it feels weird I told my boyfriend and he freaked out and got me a pt and it was negative. I have had these before and it went away and now it came back. We were freaking out! maybe it is gas and not a parasite!! But this is crazy thank god I'm not the only one

hey, btw im the one who put the parasite post up. Im also 17 and fully know what you mean about not being able to tell parents about it. I dont think you should be too worried about it , i mean if it was serious you would most likely be suffering from other noticable problems. If you can try get your self to a doctor or health shop they have great machines at most health shops which can normally tell whats up and dont forget if you go to a doctor you can get patient confidentiallity, so you wont need to worry about parents finding out. Take a friend if you need. It could be parasites, sounded a lot like i had but could also be gas or if you are really stressed at the mo that can sometimes be the cause to really weird feelings. I know you are probably really stressing out, i was too relax about it and if you can get a check at a health shop and if you really dont want to do that research EFT and do that, it really does work or try a thing called body talk , you can take what ever problem you have and your body pretty much is able to find the problem and solve it. Dont stress it may not even be too major. And if you really dont want to go any where for it there is a thing which you do and it sounds funny but its part of self body talk and all you need to do is say hey body some thing is wrong say what is wrong and then tap your head and your heart and say tapping head , tapping heart while doing that and say the problem couple more times it should work, it works for head aches and all sorts of things. I hope this helps.
:-) best of luck.

How does the tapping work/I don't htink I understand what's going on. What do you do when you tap? What's the significance of it?

I'm following this same issue on another post:

I've been having the same problem with feeling like a baby is moving in my belly, but knowing there isn't. I've read comments from men who also experience this problem, so I don't think it's necessarily related to us women who have had tubal ligation/ cauterization or IUD's. I looked up intestinal parasites but all of the ones I read about listed diarrhea and cramps, abdominal pain as symptoms. Most people who post/reply/comment aren't experiencing pain, which makes matters all the more baffling. Yet, no one from 2006 (the oldest post I've read) until now has shared a DEFINITE DIAGNOSIS. I'm concerned for us all, but at least I can stop worrying about how I'm going to provide for a 4th child now. XD

I have felt the fluttering in my stomach lately also. I am pretty sure I am not pregnant as me & my hubby have been trying 9 years with no luck. Another symptom I have been having lately is severe back pain mainly below my shoulder blades, sometimes only on 1 side and sometimes both. I have also felt pain sometimes right between my breasts, a little below at the top of my stomach. I have the back pain at least 5 days out of the week, but this may not even be connected in any way to the kicking feeling in my stomach. I tend to drink alot of soda, and not enough water, so it could have something to do with my kidneys. I have been to a few doctors a while ago due to other problems, but they never seem to help. All they do is prescribe me antibiotics and send me home. I have not yet been to a doctor about this problem.

This is bizarre. I've had something similar happen once and a while - turned out to be gas.
Then, 2 or 3 days ago, I started getting the same 4 month fluttering center lower abdomen, right above my pubic area. I can feel it with my hand and I can feel it move all the time.
I have NOT had a yeast infection lately,
I do NOT have the Mirena IUD
I do NOT take the pill
I'm NOT pregnant
I don't have any pain
It doesn't move to different areas.
No one seems to have any explanation for what's going on. it's bizarre and troublesome. I found some posts on here from men, so like another poster said, it might not have anything to do with birth control, infection, or pregnancy.
I've read through all day - this happens to men but mostly women (well at least that's who is posting), of child bearing age (have had menstruation), either on or off the pill, with or without an IUD, have or have not had children.
Some can feel a bulge, others can't. Personally, I can't though I HAVE gained weight and my breasts are bigger. THought I was pregnant too.
With all of these people experiencing the same symptoms, there has to be an answer and a fix. I hesitate to say "cure" because I don't know that it's a disease - could just be a common reaction to something we've all experienced but until the internet, had no one to talk to about it.
If anyone comes up with anything, I'd be glad to hear it. I'm going to make an appt with my doctor - but first I'll take yet another preggo test.
And all of you are right, ti's VERY annoying.

I have not had the IUD and I'm not on any type of birth control right now either. But I've been experiencing the fluttering in my stomach and I'm freaking out. I have a two year old and it feels like a baby kicking. But there is no way I could be pregnant. Also...my vagina feels like it's twitching too. It happens all day every day. It's been happening for about a month. I hope someone has an answer!

I have not ever taken birth control of any kind or have an IUD but I do get a fluttering sensation like when my daughter (now 4) was like 4 months into pregnancy. It is the craziest feeling in the world and always reminds me of my baby girl but it is crazy. I seem to notice it more now a days because I am trying for another wonder to add to the world. You all are not alone and my doctor says its a mystery because he has checked everything a thousand times.

Well I don't know if this is going to be of help to anyone but I too
have dealt with this, I have been told by my rheumatologist that it
it could just be muscle spasms in my stomach kinda like when
you get a bad twitch in your eye, he also said (as well as my family
doc did) that I could have a pinched nerve somewhere in my back that
could be causing it too. I haven't been back to my gastro doc yet
but I was diagnosed with a hyatal hernia/gerd I was also diagnosed
with fibromyalgia in 2001 and in 2009 with lupus, I am 40 now, the 1st
time I felt it I was prob around 25 or so, I still get them but now I get
similar feelings in my legs and in my back, along with tremors on right side
of body and feelings of electric shocks and vibrating sensations in my feet.
Test have been done for pinched nerves the most I know is that when inflamation
takes over it can pinch a nerve. I still do not if any of these are the true cause.
I hope that for all of you that it is not the things I've been living with but it would
be nice to know the cause or what it's really associated with. Hope all are well!! : )
