I must say after reading everyones posts I'm surprised to read so many of your doctors had no explanation for you! I also have the fluttering and even sometimes it feels as if something kicking, I spoke to my doctor and she had a really good explanation. I have had two children five and two now. Since my first vie had these feelings but was too stubborn and hardheaded to bring it up in the exam room at my checkups! It's gotten to the point that it drives me crazy, so I brought it up to my doctor! It's mist often caused by air or waste moving in the bowls, before having children our body and mind just ignored it! After having a child and being untuned with our bodies out brain focuses on those feelings. We've now categorized the feeling of movement in our stomach as fetal movements. So when we feel movement at all our brain points it out! If you read most all posts through out all websites where a woman states she feels these feelings, they have all had children! Obviously there are ones and twos here and there that have no children! Maybe their just more in tune with their bodies! Either way this is what I found out from mt doctor and to me it makes sense! Thought I'd share!

Has anybody found an answer for what this can be as I am having the same thing. I had the implanon out about four weeks ago I am on at the moment but I've been on two and a half days and my period has now become very light I have had these feelings about two weeks and just want to know what they are.

Glad you posted this! I had the Mirena IUD put in almost 2years ago. It has caused me to grow a cyst and I am feeling a almost constant fluttering like a baby is kicking. I am definitely not pregnant. I am 44 and my husband has had a vesectomy. It certainly does feel like I can't put pressure on my uterin area-just like when I was pregnant. Once you've had a baby, you know that difference between a baby's movement and this fluttering ( I call it palpitations). I am going to see my OB soon and will let you know what happens. Please share your story as it unfolds. Good luck.

Yah but my movement feeling is almost constant. NOT like when you are pregnant. It is not gas, pregnancy, my mind or anything minor. My husband and I watch and feel my stomach moving ....hard movements at times. Doesn't hurt ,,,, just annoying and distracting. I feel it evenwhen I'm standing up teaching a lesson.

We're not talkin' tickling here. We're talking strong palpitations.

Thank you. This is the most helpful post yet for my situation. I'll bet that it is from my IUD.

Im 15 and im sexually active and im having the same "ball" feelings when i lay on my stomach but i dont have the IUD thing but i take the pill. Last night i tried laying on my stomach because thats how i fall asleep and it felt weird. when i lay on my back my stomach kind of sticks out by my lady parts and i can like feel a heartbeat im not sure if its my heartbeat or what? i looked up pregnancy signs and ive had some of them so should i take a test or should i make a doctors appointment?

Im really scared...
