My grandson is suffering from neuroblastoma – it’s a very rare form of cancer that affects all nerves. He is 3 years old now and even though we’ve been blessed so far with disease being only limited only to smaller nerves in his arm, things are getting worse. It’s heartbreaking to see a 3 year old in such pain and since the nervous system is involved, all the doctors could do is to give him painkillers. Yes, a 3 year old is in such pain that he needs morphine. So when we heard about PDT or photodynamic therapy that was already used for treating neuroblastoma, we hoped that at least something can be done. But, what I’m reading online now seems to be very conflicting – in UK they have official PDTs and there are private PDTs which seem to cause more harm than good. Any info on this treatment would mean a world to us!
