I get from time to time (and usually when I'm recovering from a cold), a feeling that my head has stopped moving, but my brain is still going.

It's not bought on by sudden movements (which vertigo can be). It's not associated with a headache either. And it only seems to last for a couple of seconds if that.

I don't have problems walking, my eyes are not doing anything different, and my hearing is fine.

This time I've had this sensation for about a week now, but I'm not ill, I haven't been sick. I'm just my normal healthy self.

for me it started when I was riding in the back seat of a Ridgeline pick up. However, that was over 24 hours ago, so why do I still have this weird sensation? It reminds me of car sickness.....sort of nauseaus, slightly dizzy, but I'm not in a car. I don't have a cold or flu but I simply don't feel good....it has something to do with the back of my neck I think. What could it be?
