Hi,
Spotting between periods should always be reported to your healthcare provider, because there are possible causes that are quite serious and need immediate treatment. I won't scare you with the details because it is equally possible that something completely benign is causing your spotting, but you still need to get it checked out.
If you are on any kind of hormonal contraception, that is quite likely to lead to irregular vaginal bleeding, so that would be my first guess. In that case, there is nothing to be worried about.
Anyway, make an appointment. This will put your mind at ease if nothing is wrong and ensure you can get treatment if there is something going on.

IF you aren't and have had unprotected sex since your period - this COULD be implantation bleeding! When you conceive SOME women experience spotting - which is from the embryo implanting into the lining of the uterus! IF the bleeding continues or becomes heavier, I would like you to see a doctor ASAP! As this can be a sign of an etopic pregnancy!!! So just keep an eye on it OK? And see what happens tommorrow! Don't be worried, Vaginal bleeding can happen to any woman at anytime - you can be as regular as clockwork for years and then wham! you have a wonky period or intermittant bleeding! You just have to rule out the wrong Pill OR the chance that you might be pregnant! Does this help?
