Hello there! My friend is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and has been deteriorating a lot over the last couple of months. The doctors now suspect that she has osteopenia, which apparently goes together with Multiple Sclerosis quite often. Do any others here have this combination of diseases? What treatment are you getting?

Hormone Replacement Therapy has been known to work well with patients who are suffering from both Multiple Sclerosis and Osteopenia, and oestrogen is something that the body responds well to in many cases. Other drugs are sometimes difficult to administer because of the swallowing problems experienced by many patients. Hope that helps.
