A friend of mine has got Multiple Sclerosis and she goes through some very rough periods where she is unable to do much. I have been reading around on the world wide web a bit in an effort to find stuff that might help her. I read somewhere that vitamin d helps Multiple Sclerosis patients. Is that true?

Well, it is common knowledge that Multiple Sclerosis patients are unable to absorb vitamin D as well as other people, which can lead to serious deficiencies. As you may be able to guess, that sometimes leads to the need to receive injections or other forms of additional vitamin D. I am sure that your friend has already got this covered!
