According to official figures, at least 80 per cent of multiple sclerosis patients has bladder dysfunction! That is a very large figure and I had no idea that this was a problem in multiple sclerosis. Is there anyone here who happens to know what causes bladder dysfunction in multiple sclerosis? I'd be happy to hear all about this.

Bladder dysfunction happens to people with multiple sclerosis when lesions block the parts of the central nervous system that would normally control bladder function in healthy people. For some reason, these lesions frequently occur in this spot, thus causing the high rate of multiple sclerosis patients with bladder dysfunction. Does that answer your question?
