Okay. This topic really annoys me because I can barely enjoy sex or go for a long time because I always feel pain after about 10 minutes of having sex. My boyfriend and I have sex often and I can never go for long due to like a burning in my vagina. We have to stop after about 20 minutes. I read once in a magazine (I think Seventeen Magazine), that the burning is normal once in a while but if it burns or hurts everytime it could be a problem. The magazine said that it could be a sign of me being infertile. Obviously I don't want kids now, I'm only 18, but in the future I definitely do! So is this a sign of infertility?
Thanks!

it could be a sign of infertility, an std, or maybe youre boyfriend needs to slow it down just a little bit [take it easy]. if you really dont think its your boyfriend then i'd definitely go see your gyno and get a pap smear so they can test for anything.

Allergic?

This week they had a story about a couple who had that same problem, on one of the cable channels. They went to many doctors and had many tests done before they found the reason for it.

Thanks for your answers! I guess I should talk to my gyno since there are soooo many possibilities of what it could be. I got my first pap-smear last year and my doctor didn't mention anything wrong with me. Should I ask her specifically what I want to know or should she just be able to tell by looking at my vagina?

to be sure i would ask your doctor, some things you cant necessarily tell by looking .

Definitely ask exactly what you want to know. It's the only way to be sure you get the answer. There's nothing worse than going home feeling you didn't find out what you wanted to know. You're paying for the visit, you should go home satisfied. Be sure she understands what you are asking too.

She will be looking for diseases. That doesn't mean she will be able to tell you were uncomfortable when you had intercourse.

The only question I have would be, are you getting well lubricated?
If you are not, it could be nothing more than friction irritation.
