I had sex with my ex about 2 days ago, and we used a condom. The sex was vigorous and to be on the safe side I always urinate after each trial. During urination the urine stung the surrounding area of my vagina if it touched, but urinating from that point on did not sting at all. Does anyone else experience this and is it normal?

Also, the sex had happened 2 days after my cycle ended, and ever since our encounter I have been having a thick white odorless discharge in my panties. I do not itch and am not in pain....could someone enlighten me a little please about the burn and the white secretions still happening going on 3 days later??

when you have a pain or you feel a burning after urination, it is a sign that your body is fighting against something. in my opinion, it is probably UTI but you can tell without visiting your doctor, urologist, and even the gynecologist. the urethritis is an inflammation of the urethra and it is caused when bacteria enter in. now, sometimes this bacteria can be related to a sexually transmitted infection. on the other hand, sometimes non-bacterial UTIs are the culprit. no matter what it is, without the treatment, you can only make it worse. so, do things at a time and seek help.

good luck!

Hi honey! There are several scenarios of what is going on right now! 1. The discharge is you ovulating! 2. The discharge and burning is from a UTI! 3. The discharge and burning is from a yeast infection - note that not all yeast infecitons itch and smell! 4. You have had a reaction to either the condom used OR were rubbed too much with the "vigorous sex" Causing burning with the ammonia from your urine, and then a discharge from the friction! The best thing to do is wait for a couple of days, if the discharge and stinging continue - keeping the area clean with watered down hydrogen peroxide! Then you will need to be checked by your doctor - to make sure you don't have a UTI or even a yeast infection! Hope this helps you! Good luck and health!

Hello there,

You said the sex was quite "vigorous" and you used a condom. I had that happen once with my fiance and me. I was a bit worried so I went in to ask someone at planned parent hood what it might be. I have a sensitivity to some condoms I have noticed, this could be the same thing with you. The doctor also told me that if he was "rough" with me down there that he could have made the tiniest tare causing it to be painful when I urinated (which it did). The irritation subsided a couple days later. Other factors could be that you might not have been wet enough and with a condom that can cause some heightened irritation with the latex. I also agree that the discharge could be you ovulating.

Nevertheless, if you are still experiencing these complications give your doctor a quick visit. It never hurts to be on the safe side.

Hope this helps darling!

All the best to you.

Thank you Lindsole and Bambii for your prompt responses. Perhaps it could be an allergic reaction or dryness causing irritation because the pain in urination only lasted for that day and the thick white discharge has changed to milky white discharge (seemingly more normal). And we did go several times and i noticed it became rough sex afterwhile which didn't hurt at the time it was happening much. There definitely is no pain or smell, well rather the discharge smelled somewhat sweet (which is weird or maybe i've just never put my panties to my face to smell my own fluids before.... o.O )..

thanks again for the scenario options and feedback!

Hello again, I have a question. Monday I had gone to receive treatment for the clap at a local clinic. I was given 2g of azithromycin instead of the original tablet and shot because i'm allergic to penicillin. I was told to take the 4pills as one dose. At the time I thought it was meant to take all the pills by the end of the day, so that's what I did. I stretched out the pills and took them with food throughout the span of the day. Since, I have been having a small discomfort in my vaginal area, more milky/clumpy combo of discharge, some clumps fall into the toilet after passing urine, and now there is a slight tint to the discharge, it is no longer completely white at times. Earlier today there was a greenish hue, then there was a slight brownish tint...before receiving the treatment I went because my discharge was usually thick and white, but now 4 days after taking the pills there's a change of discharge hue and small itching. not perfusely, but it is enough to be noticed.

I am worried that perhaps because I did not understand to take all the four pills at once, could this have prevented me from receiving adequate treatment?....i mean, I'm 22yrs old, and it's not everyday one contracts an STD, and before leaving i even asked the physician if there were certain times I needed to take the pills to which she said no, but to make sure I take them with food. Perhaps she misunderstood my question? Has my ignorance caused me to not be treated effectively? i know i need to wait 7 days, but it seems like it's not improving? Or maybe the bacteria is being flushed out and is being irritable on the way out?

Please help me?

Hi the doctor perscribed that way so the pills would attack your infection! They just wanted you to take them ALL at ONCE due to the imapct on your body! Kind of like sending in the army! I think it MIGHT have had less of an effect, BUT usually you can see a difference within three days! So all I'm concerned about is that it is starting to go green! I know you have to wait! So that's what you should do, then hopefully you can go back and it will all be clear! When you are dealing with an STD you HAVE to be careful that the infection doesn't spread to other internal organs! So keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, then definitely call her back! You might need another dose!! Good luck and health!

i had gone to a free clinic and she did a smear and it was thick and white..she thought it was monistat because i was so embarrassed i told her i had attempted to self-treat with that..i thought that if i had taken all those antibiotics at once it would cause me to fall ill because i know antibiotics are very strong...and the discharge is not green all the time i just noticed today it was a slight greenish tint to it when i went to the bathroom. it is no doubt thick anymore, it is milky and clumpy. i just really hope it goes away soon and i keep conviincing myself that the bacteria is just being cleansed out of my system and by the time next week comes i will be back to normal..it's scarey %-)

Actually depending on when you used Monistat, it could be that too! Did you do that? Or did you just tell her you did? With a MAJOR infection like you obviously have, they HAVE to send in a MAJOR attack! So don't worry about that OK? As I stated honey, just keep an eye on it and IF you sense it's getting worse then you will need to go back sooner! Due to you being allergic to penacillin, perhaps this drug isn't as strong as what they would have given you! Also DO NOT have sex of ANY kind until this is cleared up and you get the all clear! Because IF you give it to someone else, you can actually be sued for bodily harm! Also you have to let the other person know to get tested! As this is also a sueable offence! So be careful OK?!
