Also, the sex had happened 2 days after my cycle ended, and ever since our encounter I have been having a thick white odorless discharge in my panties. I do not itch and am not in pain....could someone enlighten me a little please about the burn and the white secretions still happening going on 3 days later??

when you have a pain or you feel a burning after urination, it is a sign that your body is fighting against something. in my opinion, it is probably UTI but you can tell without visiting your doctor, urologist, and even the gynecologist. the urethritis is an inflammation of the urethra and it is caused when bacteria enter in. now, sometimes this bacteria can be related to a sexually transmitted infection. on the other hand, sometimes non-bacterial UTIs are the culprit. no matter what it is, without the treatment, you can only make it worse. so, do things at a time and seek help.
good luck!

You said the sex was quite "vigorous" and you used a condom. I had that happen once with my fiance and me. I was a bit worried so I went in to ask someone at planned parent hood what it might be. I have a sensitivity to some condoms I have noticed, this could be the same thing with you. The doctor also told me that if he was "rough" with me down there that he could have made the tiniest tare causing it to be painful when I urinated (which it did). The irritation subsided a couple days later. Other factors could be that you might not have been wet enough and with a condom that can cause some heightened irritation with the latex. I also agree that the discharge could be you ovulating.
Nevertheless, if you are still experiencing these complications give your doctor a quick visit. It never hurts to be on the safe side.
Hope this helps darling!
All the best to you.

I am worried that perhaps because I did not understand to take all the four pills at once, could this have prevented me from receiving adequate treatment?....i mean, I'm 22yrs old, and it's not everyday one contracts an STD, and before leaving i even asked the physician if there were certain times I needed to take the pills to which she said no, but to make sure I take them with food. Perhaps she misunderstood my question? Has my ignorance caused me to not be treated effectively? i know i need to wait 7 days, but it seems like it's not improving? Or maybe the bacteria is being flushed out and is being irritable on the way out?
Please help me?
