Pain in leg after THR

I had birmingham hip 6 years ago just had it removed as body was rejecting it and been in terrible pain . I just had THR all was going well until 2 weeks into recovery started getting terrible pain in legs on the operated leg pain all down the outside of the leg and terrible pain in knee unable to bend knee properly hurts to sit for too long terrible back pain . I can't not sleep if I lay on either side after 5 mins terrible pain and can't lay on my back as that hurts too. I'm so fed up been to doctors today it's now 12 weeks since operation she says it nerve damage and it should get better in time but I don't think so
