Hi, my name is Zach. I'm a 17 year old male. Since august started of 2010, I've been experiencing some pain in my left testicle. I sometimes alternates to my right testicle and sometimes it occurs in both my testicle, but about 90% of the time the pain occurs in my left testicle. the pain really only happens while I sit down. It doesn't occur really while I stand up. The pain is different sometimes: sometimes it's just sharp bursts of pain that happen randomly and sometimes it's just a burning sensation. By a burning sensation, I mean it feels as if I put bengay on my testicle. On a scale of 1-10, the pain is probably a 3 or 4, so it's pretty bareable. i don't pay attention to it that much. I'm just curious at what might be causing this pain. I don't think I have testicular cancer because:
1) I'm too young I think. Testicular cancer affects men primarily between 20-40.
2) I don't feel any lumps or hardness in my testicles.
3) My urine and semen haven't changed color.
I also know this pain could not be caused by a STD because I'm still a virgin. So I think that it's just an minor infection that can be treated with some antibionics. I'm not sure, but this is just my guess. I'm kind of scared, so I'm just trying to figure out what to do next. I'm worried that if I don't go to the doctor soon, the infection might become so bad that I will destroy my testicles and cause me to not make children. Please, help me!
