I'm 23, had a cyst on the left one since I was at least 12, possibly earlier.... but 12 was when I was worried enough to talk to my parents. We scheduled an appointment with a Urologist and he determined it was a cyst and that surgery was unecessary unless there was a change. It's been more then a decade and as far as I can tell nothing has changed. Finished puberty, started having sex and still no noticable change and in fact no girlfriend has ever even noticed, despite the fact it is equally as large as the testicle it is attached to.
I am not too worried, worried enough to google this I guess, but really it's not something I think about too much despite it's size. However, if anything were to change, size, hardness, pain etc. I would rush out to get this checked.
So I'd say, if your doctor says not to worry then that is valid advice. However if you can't live with it, if you ARE going to worry, whether needlesly or not, get it removed. Nothing is worth more than peace of mind!
Me, I'm happy to live with it for now.... Unless it changes, I can find my own peace of mind :-)

Hi there! Well I just wanted to say that I agree with you completely. I see a lot of people developing irrational fears out of nothing, which leads them to chronic anxiety. I don't want to spend my life in fearing everything. I don't understand why people don't trust their doctors. I see you are perfectly aware of your cyst, you know what to do in certain cases, you're well informed and that's the most important. I wish you all the luck with your present girlfriend and all next ones. :-)
