I was reading some of the posts on here just now as i started spotting pinkish brown for the past 2 days.I just found out Friday past ( Sept 11th ) that i am pregnant. Saturday i had started to get pain in my lower left side and became very concerned because i have had 2 etopic pregnancies in the past. My first etopic was at 7 weeks and they managed to save my tube. About 4 months after that i became pregnant again and at 7 weeks i again started to spot and was having severe pain in my right side and through my legs and back, i then went to the hospital and had found out that i again was having another Etopic but this time my tube had ruptured.I had to have an emergency surgery right away and was very lucky to pull through. So when i started to get pain again after finding out i was pregnant i was really worried and went to emergency. They told me that i was only about 3 to 4 weeks pregnant and that it was to early to tell if it was an etopic. I am hoping that i am okay now because after the visit to the hospital is when i started to spot.I am not only worried about an etopic but a miscarriage as well.
To all of you who are worried about an etopic pregnancy they usually dont happen til you are 7 to 10 weeks. The further along you are the worse it could be depending on the size of the fetus. It is very painful when this begins and you will know that something is wrong and should go to a doctor ASAP!! Sometimes you can get severe pain before bleeding so i suggest to anyone who reads this that if you experience anything like that at about 7 weeks go straight to emergency.

Hi, I'm 21 and since getting Married in May '09 we have been trying for a baby but to no avail, my periods are usually regular but as of today I am two days late, I took a home pregnancy test this morning and got a negative result but I am also experiencing cramping (for 3 days) with no sign of a period and a pain in my right side.

Hey everyone i have been having lower right side abdominal pain for a week and a day now it hurts when i laugh, move, or bend over.... i went to the DR he said i might be pregnant but according to my last period i have to wait another week i wonder if im pregnant if anybody can take a guess and give me an answer it would really help... well, i am now 6 weeks pregnant (by the doctor's counting), and i've been feeling a dull ache on my right side of the abdomen, similar to what i feel when i ovulate, only today i have started feeling pain on the right side of my neck. i am thinking i have an ectopic pregnancy because i had used emergency contraceptives the day before i conceived.
though my boyfriend thinks i am exaggerating, i will surely see a doctor this very weekend, having read your stories.

hi all have read all your messages an sympathise with you all, I get right sided pain each month just before my period is due, I am taking fertillity drugs to assist in getting pregnant, Last week I had all the symptoms of being pregnant but have not tested, A couple of days later I have started with bad lower Right sided pain quite sever at times like cramping but it goes away now and again and leaves a dull ache, because i get a similar pain each month i have just ignored it but it dosent stop me worrying because me fertillty doctor says my monthly pain is when i ovulate, only i know from scans that i ovulate days before the pain starts, so i feel hes just fobing me off, so im in a dilemma as to when to seek advice because i dont have other symptoms of ectopic so dont know what it is any ideas :-(

14yrs ago i had a mass of ovarian cysts removed, along with the ovary and fallopian tube. i told my other was badly damaged and the chances of me ever falling pregnant again were very slim. in the past 14yrs i have never fallen pregnant. at one stage i started ivf and was told that i did not ovulate. i didnt ever fall pregnant in those 14 yrs. but last month i had all the signs of coming on, sore boobs, weeing constantly, craving sweet things, headaches, cramping, just no period. i did a test and the line was so faint , i did another, again faint. i then did a digital that said i was 3-4 wks, a few days later it read 1-2wks. yet i was weeing constantly , being sick, boobs were killing me and i had what i thought i was indigestion. pains in stomache and chest, and in shoulder. i went to see my dr, explained my situation and was told to go back on tuesday. she did 2 tests both barely visable and rushed me in for a scan. the lining of my womb had not thickened and there was no sac in my uterus. but there was a mass in my tube by my ovary. they did blood tests and i was sent home and told to go back in on thursday for more blood tests to measure the hgc, then they could decide what to do. i was awake all night with a dull ache, pains in my shoulder, barely slept. when i woke i had bleeding and rushed to hospital. an internal showed bleeding is coming from high up, which is a good sign, it could be passing itself. because i had pain they did want to send me down to theatre to remove the tube incase it ruptures, but i refused. am now home, pain is like period pains and i am passing clots. we go back tomorrow for more blood tests if hgc is dropping its good, i keep my tube. if rising i lose it and my chances of falling pregnant again.
the scarey thing is often my periods have been late and painful, i am weeing lots and feeling sick, but have never done tests. how many times have i had ectopic pregnancies before that have passed, but i have not known about? each one risking my life??

i have had an ectopic pregnancy in 2007,it was terrible,didn't now i was pregnant by the time just got this terrible pain early in the morning around 1am,it was terrible,cudn't walk too.When i got to the doctor he did a urine test and a blood test and it was positive,then to the ultrasound,i was surprised coz it was just 2days after my periods...the ultrasuond detected the embryo was implanted on my tube and unfortunately i lost both the tube and pregnancy...since then i have been trying to have a baby and it wudn't happen,but there was a time i took a home pregnancy test and the second line was there bt feint,went to the doctor da same thing applied but he couldn't detect with the ultrasuond coz he said it was too early....and told me to come see him after two weeks,before the two weeks i got on my periods and everything was fyn and normal....bt then for the past days i have been feeling like vomiting,took the pregnancy test today and the 2nd line was feint again,haven't been to the doctor and havn't had pains yet....but now um scared...

im not sure that the pains i am having relate to anything that you all have previously talked about. but a few weeks ago when i had sex with my boyfriend i had a bad pain in my lower right stomach. then when i had a BM it hurt in the same spot when i pushed it out. i am now 5 days late, i took a pregnancy test yesterday being 4 days late but it came back negative.. any ides????

i've just found out i'm preganat it was not planned but we are over the moon about it. i did a home preganacy test and it come back possitive i only did one because i was having pain on my left side but 3 weeks ago i had a operation so i thought it could be that but this pain is so much worse and don't seem to be getting any better, so i went to the doctors to ask him to send me for a scan well he's done that went they could not fnd the baby on the scan so now i'm having blood test's done. I hope everything is ok with this preganancy and it's just my side recovering from the operation but i guess i will just have to wait and see what happens with this one. my left side feel's swalloni don't know if that's a sign or not but i've oly got to go tomorrow with this pain thank god.

Hi I took a pregnancy test with my ob doc. on friday and the test was negative I went back in on Tuesday with a bad pain on my left side an the blood test confirmed I was pregnant! The doctor said she thinks I got pregnant recently and that was the reason why my first test was negative. She said that the blood test indicates I am bearly 3 weeks pregnant. Now the bad news is that I've been having a bad pain on my left side for 1 week now. The Dr. said she thinks it might be an ectopic pregnancy scince its pain only on one side. She said we had to wait scince Im only 3 weeks and if she performed and ultrasound we wouldnt get any results because there is nothing formed yet. I got so scared and didnt care and just went directly to the ER to get an ultrasound. She was right they couldn't see anything. The ER doctor told me they looked in the womb and in my f tubes and couldnt see anything. He said that it's because I am bealry 3 weeks. He said he didnt want to scare me but that maybe all the pain was because I had lost the baby and didnt notice because I didnt bleed but that I could have a heavy flow period next month. Or just because I am bearly 3 weeks. The left side pain is gone but I have very severe cramps. No bleeding or spotting though. I have another ultrasoud tomorrow at the hospital hopefully they find something.

I am having PCOS, Bi cornuate uterus and 1 kidney, The pain stays for max 10-15 mins and its on the right side , I will be taking doc's appointment tommorrow, Can i know what happened in your case? what did the doctor say? If you think that you may be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy schedule an appointment with your doctor right away. You won't know for sure unless your doctor confirms this through an ultrasound. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! From what I read about a person having an ectopic pregnancy will experience severe pain in one side and pain in their shoulders but I never felt any of this.

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies and I am now a lil over 4 weeks pregnant. I found out about the last 2 ectopic pregnancies on the 6th week. I am very nervous with this pregnancy also because I am having lots of pain on my left side. I took 1 ultrasound and they found suspicious activity in the tube. Its not until about the 6th week that they can really see where its at.

hopefully my information would be usefull for you ..i had gone thru all th symptons like missed periods.. on and off pain in my lower abdominal..urine test with light confirmation of pregancy..spottin for 2weeks...weakness....my dctr told me to get serum beta HCG TEST done ..were my right side ECTOPIC pregnancy was confirmed..and immedietly wen thru a laproscopic surgery without wasting any time...in this case the egg gets stuck in your right ovary tube and grows..the chances of egg getting burst becomes high if you prolong...so i would suggest you to cosult a good gynaec without further delay and thr;s nothing to worry...all th best..t.c..
