My daughter is 17, petite and is in constant pain on her left side of her stomach. She has been told for the past 3 years that she has IBS and is currently on medication for it. Her hip on her left side looks different to the right as if its swollen.
She had an emergency operation in November to remove a cyst on her left ovary. She has been told that she has endrometriosis and is currently taking medication for that also.
The pains are still present, she is taking 5 different tablets a day and her stomach is so swollen that she cannot get into her trousers.
She has been told that when the operation was taking place, some adhesions were found on the left hand side of her bowel and that it was stuck so the tried to unstick it. There is apprently nothing wrong with her appendix.
What could be causing these problems, any help would be appreciated.
