Hello. I'm 30 year old female and about a year ago I’ve got a beautiful baby boy. The pregnancy and the birth went well and without any problems what so ever. He is now a year old and growing up quite nice. The only problem is in my periods-they still haven't returned. I have talked about this with some of my friends but they all had menstruation started up right away after birth.
So, I would really like to find out more about these problems. Please tell me that there is nothing wrong with me.
Thanks!

You see, I had the same problem with my first child and it was about fifteen years ago. I have talked about this with one doctor and she told me that it's common for your period to be delayed after pregnancy
Yes, you were right about one thing- for some women, menstruation starts up right away. For others, it can take years.
There can be several reasons for this to happen. In most women breastfeeding disrupts ovulatory actions, causing irregular periods.
Because I was very concerned about this thing my doctor prescribed me some hormonal medication to jump-start menstruation. I have used for about three weeks and my periods returned.
Wish you luck!
