I've been trying to have a baby for a month n a half now, last month (july) I only had my period for ONE day on July 27th (that was the day i was expecting my period) and it was pretty light, I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. But it is really unusual for me to have a one day period because I have very regular period, my cycle is every 28 days for about 5 days of bleeding. SO CAN I BE PREGNANT??

If the bleeding was shorter and lighter than usual, it could be possible. You could try taking another test as it may have been too early last time.
